Terms of Service

By using Yardsale Club you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app.

What Yardsale Club is

We aggregate and host listings for yard, garage, and estate sales, and let neighbors list items, coordinate pickups, message each other, and review sales. Sales happen in person, between you and the other party — we are not a party to any transaction, we don’t process payment for items, and we don’t guarantee the condition, legality, or availability of anything listed.

Your account

You must be at least 13 to use the app and at least 18 to list a sale or buy a subscription. You’re responsible for what happens on your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

Community rules — zero tolerance

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior on Yardsale Club. Don’t post content that is illegal, dangerous, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, fraudulent, or spam. Don’t list prohibited items (weapons, drugs, stolen goods, recalled products, counterfeits). Don’t harass other users in messages or reviews.

Every piece of user content can be reported in the app, and any user can be blocked. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these rules, and eject repeat or egregious offenders.

Your content

You own what you post. By posting, you give us a license to display it in the app and in service emails (e.g. sale alerts). You promise you have the right to post it — that the photos are yours and the sale is real.

Meeting in person

Use common sense at sales and pickups: meet in daylight, bring a friend for high-value items, and trust your gut. You assume the risks of in-person transactions.

Subscriptions & boosts

Service-provider subscriptions and listing boosts are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled; you can cancel any time from the billing portal and keep access through the end of the paid period. Boosts are one-time purchases and non-refundable once the boost period starts.

Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is”. Listing details (including scraped sales) can be wrong or out of date. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or for anything that happens at an in-person sale. Our total liability is capped at the greater of $50 or what you paid us in the last 12 months.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use Yardsale Club after a change means you accept it.
