Privacy Policy

Yardsale Club (“we”, “us”) helps you find and host yard, garage, and estate sales near you. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account info — your email address, and the display name and profile photo you choose to set.
• Location — your device location, only when you use location features: centering the map, GPS check-ins at sales, and route planning. We store check-in coordinates to verify you visited a sale. We never collect location in the background.
• Content you post — sale listings, item photos, reviews, finds, comments, and direct messages.
• Addresses you save — your home address and saved places, if you add them, to plan routes.
• Payment info — if you buy a provider subscription or a listing boost, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

How we use it

• Show sales and items near you on the map.
• Verify check-ins and award points.
• Deliver messages between buyers and sellers.
• Send transactional emails (confirmations, alerts you opt into).
• Keep the community safe — reviewing reported content.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party ads.

Who we share it with

Only the services that run the app: Supabase (database & authentication), Mapbox (maps), Stripe (payments), and our email provider for transactional email. Each receives only what it needs to do its job. Content you post publicly (listings, reviews, finds) is visible to other users.

Your choices

• Delete your account any time in Settings → Danger zone. This permanently removes your account and all data tied to it.
• Location permission can be revoked in your device settings; map browsing still works.
• Block users to stop seeing their content and prevent contact, and report content you believe breaks the rules.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. Deleting your account removes it. Content you delete (a listing, a post) is removed from the app immediately.

Children

Yardsale Club is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
